Happy less than two weeks until Valentine’s Day! ♥
It’s that time again when you’re wondering what gifts to get your significant other, what you’re gonna wear, or what type of ice cream will be your date for the evening. No matter what you’re doing or what plans you may have there is ALWAYS a reason to dress in red or pink on February 14th. For this post, I chose to show you guys two different outfit options: the casual outfit (perfect for that hot ice cream date you have at 8:00PM sharp) and the ‘dressy but not to dressy’ outfit (perfect for that laid back dinner date with your significant other).
The first outfit is for all the ladies whose plans are to sit on the couch watching The Notebook and for all the ladies in the relationship that don’t care to spend more than 15 minutes getting ready (me— almost two years of dating and that dressing up ship has sailed).
I started by picking out this adorable, comfy sweater from Forever21. I’m usually not the pink type, or the color type for that matter, but this sweater spoke to me and screamed Valentine’s Day. It was on sale for $11 too, which helped to make this purchase all the more easier. Next, I threw on a pair of cropped mom jeans from H&M because comfort is everything. Ditching the skinny jeans for this outfit was one of the best choices I have ever made, and my thighs sure did thank me for it. Finally, I kicked it off with my infamous white converse. No matter where I go, I know my white chucks have my back (or feet).
Oh yes, and I had to throw in “the heartbreaker” doughnut because a straight week of the gym had my stomach begging for something sweet.
This next outfit is a bit dressier and would be perfect for the classic dinner-date occasion. My white button down is from the Zara sale and my black jeans are from American Eagle. I swear the pocket on this shirt and the ruffles on the sleeves are the cutest details I have ever seen. I chose to dress this outfit up a bit by adding some black heels but black booties or flats would be perfect (and more comfortable) too.
I hope everyone has a great week and thank you for taking the time to check out this blog post! Don’t forget to let me know what you think in the comments below. See you next Sunday!
