How to Style: Overalls

How to Style: Overalls

A huge trend that has been revived in the past year is the return of the infamous overalls.

The last experience I had with these was about ten years ago, and for the record… my mom sure knew how to dress me. I’d just like to say that my (many pairs of) overalls would have won me the title of best dressed third grader any day.

Anyways… Here are three different ways you can style overalls. My black pair that I wore were from Zara but jean overalls would look just as good!

First, I paired my overalls with this white turtle neck sweater with black and gold button detailing on the sleeves from Zara. This is the perfect contemporary outfit that could be dressed up or dressed down. I am all about feeling comfortable when it comes to styling my outfits so these flared black overalls are PERFECT for both style and comfort.

Outfit style: Contemporary

This next outfit is more casual with a business feel. My blue button down is from Zara and is the perfect shirt to throw on with any outfit. BTW: adding a hat can instantly add that ‘something missing’ to any outfit.

Last but not least is the most casual outfit of the three. I threw on this yellow and orange speckled sweater from H&M and tucked it in under my overalls. The outfit would have not been complete without my leopard heeled shoes that my sister so graciously bought for me a few months ago. Adding a printed shoe or sweater with overalls makes the outfit that much more funky. Remember, getting dressed is all about feeling good in your own skin so if you have some original green snake skinned boots you think would look great with a pair of overalls, you rock them girl!

Fantastic job! Sent the link to my friends. They loved it. One of the comments I got back was “The set-up of the blog is dope! The overalls are fire!” Not sure what that means, but I am pretty sure it was a good thing. Great job!
